Stake Land to be released in April

Stake Land, written by Jim Mickle and Nick Damici and directed by Jim Mickle (Mulberry Street), takes place following a global spread of vampirism. Kelly McGillis plays a nun who joins a small team of survivors (including Nick Damici, Danielle Harris and Conor Paolo) as they make a treacherous journey north to safety through the war-torn U.S. McGillis' character, "Sister," faces a crisis of faith during the vampire bloodshed, ultimately taking up arms to do battle with her newly formed family unit.

IFC Midnight is partnering with MPI Media Group, and its subsidiary Dark Sky Films has announced release date as the April 22. IFC will give it a nationwide theatrical platform release and day-and-date VOD launch on April 22.

Coming up tomorrow, on February 17th in The Vampire Diaries episode titled ‘The Dinner Party’ Damon tries to get Elijah off guard, so he arranges a dinner party for him and invites Jenna, Alaric and Andie along, but some last-minute information throws Damon's plan into confusion.
Add aflashback to 1864 once more, as Stefan reveals new information about his former self to Elena. Turns out, it took the influence of a certain individual to get him on track to become the vampire he is today.

'Twilight: Eclipse' Director David Slade Making Another Vampire Movie

David Slade is currently in talks to direct the upcoming vampire adventure The Last Voyage of Demeter while Jude Law is reportedly in talks for a lead role.

Noomi Rapace has already signed onto play a stowaway aboard the Demeter, with Ben Kingsley committed to the project as well. The story Follows the ill-fated crew aboard the merchant ship Demeter which carried Dracula's coffin from Transylvania to England only to arrive at port with no survivors aboard.

Eva Green to join Dark Shadows cast

Eva Green ("CASINO ROYALE", "KINGDOM OF HEAVEN") is in talks to join the cast of Tim Burton's "DARK SHADOWS" for Warner Bros. Pictures. A feature adaption of the classic 1960s soap opera, the film stars Johnny Depp as vampire Barnabas Collins.

This will be the fifth version of the Dark Shadows story to be told (sixth if you count the Gold Key comic book from the sixties). There was the original soap opera (which Barnabas didn’t become a part of until the second season, though he has since become its most enduring character), two feature films in the seventies, the revival series of the early nineties, and a failed pilot for The CW from 2004. Dark Shadows was also groundbreaking in being one of the first franchises to show the vampire in a sympathetic light, hating his existence and longing for his humanity. It also followed Richard Matheson’s I Am Legend as showing vampirism as a medical disorder.

Priest 3D info and Trailer

One upon a time, Priest, Korean comic series created by Hyung Min-woo, was going into production as a movie by U.S. film studio Screen Gems. To be released in 2008, it was going to be produced by Sam Raimi, directed by Andrew Douglas, and would star Gerard Butler as the title character. However, both Butler and Raimi have dropped out of the project leaving the future of the film adaption of Priest unknown for some time.

Now, on the vampire killer's point of view the world looks a bit brighter, as Priest is an upcoming action horror film directed by Scott Stewart and stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Stephen Moyer and Maggie Q. It is set to be released on May 13, 2011 in 3D.

BTW; Both Cam Gigandet and Stephen Moyer have starred as vampires: Gigandet in Twilight as James, and Moyer in the HBO television series True Blood as vampire Bill Compton as well as Jack in Channel 4's Ultraviolet.

Actors Line Up For Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

20th Century Fox Has been trying to cast Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter since November of 2010.

Orginally Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was a 2010 novel by Seth Grahame-Smith, and was released on March 2, 2010. In addition to penning the novel, Grahame-Smith also prepared a screenplay, and now Twentieth Century Fox will be bringing it to the big screen.

n March 2010 it was announced that Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (producers of 9) are currently working on the live action adaptation of this novel in conjunction with Twentieth Century Fox for a possible 2012 release. Grahame-Smith himself will write the screenplay of the film adaptation. 20th Century Fox has announced a June 22, 2012 release date for the film in both regular and in 3D theaters. Adrien Brody, Josh Lucas, Timothy Olyphant, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, James D'Arcy and Benjamin Walker are among those considered for the role of young Abraham Lincoln.

Also Grahame Smith's Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is also making the trip from page to screen.

Being Human (American version)

Being Human is a re-imagining of the acclaimed BBC original series that follows three 20-something roommates: A ghost, a vampire and a werewolf who are struggling to keep their dark secrets from the world, while also helping each other navigate the complexities of living double lives.
