We Are The Night

Vampire horror-thriller with strong lesbian emphasis opened last friday May 27. Directed by Dennis Gansel it stars Jennifer Ulrich, Karoline Herfurth, Nina Hoss, Max Riemelt and Anna Fischer. Here's the trailer




20-year-old Berlin native Lena (hot redhead cutie Karoline Herfurth shows bit darker colors here ) gets by as a petty thief. On one of her nightly job runs through an underground club, she meets 250-year-old Louise (blonde Nina Hoss). Don't let her age fool you. Louise is a glamorous vixen, who is not only the owner of the club, but also the leader of an unusual all-female vampires trio, the other two members being wild child Nora (raven black Anna Fischer) and elegant Charlotte (brunette Jennifer Ulrich). Louise falls head over heels in love with the scruffy Lena and bites her during their first night together. Once bitten, Lena discovers the curse and the blessing of her new, eternal life. She revels in the glamour, parties and infinite freedom. But she quickly discovers that the endless blood thirst and murderous appetite of her new girlfriends come at a steep price. When Berlin police commissioner Tom Serner (Max Riemelt) begins investigating the women, it is just a matter of time before their day comes and events spiral out of control…

Neil Jordan to direct new female vampire movie featuring Gemma Arterton

Oscar-nominee Saoirse Ronan is reported joining a new vampire film, "Byzantium", the "Hanna" star will allegedly star opposite Gemma Arterton - and director Neil Jordan is reuniting with producer Stephen Woolley.

In addition to Ronan and Arterton, Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes and Jeremy Irvine will allegedly take supporting roles. As for the plot, "Byzantium" tells a tale about a vampire mother who turns her daughter into a bloodsucker. Later, the two vampires form a lethal partnership, and sometimes pretend to be sisters. The production of the GBP8 million film is scheduled to take place in October.
